The French Vineyards

In general

In heavy competition with Italy, France places itself as the number one (or two) wine-producing country in the world.

With a production of more than 9 billion Euros annually and with 50% exported and consumed outside of France, what still makes the French wines stand out among their competitors is their worldwide reputation.

This reputation is hence to the long and rich traditions of wine production in the different regions of France.

The soil and climate are essential in this process, which is why the French wine regions are to be found where

the climate is temperated and the soil suitable for growing the many different kinds of grape varieties that are used.

872 000 hectars are used for wine-growing at approximately 144 000 locations all over France.

Some of the more renowned wine regions are

 - Alsace, Champagne and Bourgogne with continental climate

 - Bordeaux, the South-East and the Loire Valley with atlantic climate

 - The Rhône Valley, Provence and Corsica with mediterranean climate

Wyyne.com can offer you a wide selection of wines from the regions mentioned above and of course,

all our French wines are kosher!
